Tapas on Javea's Arenal
There is a new place for tapas in Javea that is out of this world. It's run by the people who own Los Remos restaurant . It has the same style and elegance of that restaurant with a slighly less formal approach. Es Tapa Ti is located on the Arenal Promenade open to the breeze from the sea and close to the throngs strolling along the Prom.
The food is a mix of Spanish classics with a contemporary twist - patatas bravas, croquettas, rabo de toro, foie gras with goats cheese and apple, finely assembled salads, scrambled eggs with chorizo. You can see their full menu here.
For me - as a dining experience it works really well - a glass of beer, some starter tapas, a glass (or bottle) of wine from their excellent list with some more tapas, then coffee and a dessert.
You can't book a table but they turnover quite frequently so relax. I usually dine at Los Remos on the final night of a holiday to end on a high - this year, we chose Es Tapa Ti for our last night - and we weren't disappointed.
